15 cops receives PNP Medal of BraveryPhilippine National Police (PNP) Director General Alan Purisima awarded Medal of Bravery to 15 police officers of President Roxas Municipal Police Station (PRMPS) in Cotabato City after their bout against 100 members of New People's Army (NPA) last May 20.
The award was given to Chief of Police Bernabe P. Rubio, which also received a PNP Wounded Medal for being wounded in the fight, with Police Inspectors Sherwin Panaguiton and Senior Police Officers Arnold Nadela, Larry Gregorio, Isidro Guirhem and Marivic Pedrola. Furthermore, police officers Julius Dagpin, Michael Angelo Cariño, Rafael Carbon, Dennis Soledad, Raymond Niño Nuevo, Razel Genzola, Job Franklin Santos, Johnny Boy Lomotos, and Roy Angelo Rasonabe also received the same award. The Medal of Bravery is given to police troops that has eight to 20 members that fought enemy groups that has more members than them. NPA attacked the police station on Tuesday of last week which resulted in a close counter fight leaving five NPA members dead and unconfirmed numbers wounded. PNP will also turn over a Kia 4x4 assault rifles and and ammunitions and financial support to PRMPS. |
