Drug users caught in Navotas City drug raid

NAVOTAS CITY-- District Anti-Illegal Drugs (DAID) Special Operations Task Group of the Northern Police District (NPD) arrested three drug users who were caught in the act of sniffing Metamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu” in Navotas City on Monday night. PINSP. Edsel Ibasco identified the users as Edwin Abuya, 44, married; Susan Manlolo, 49, single; and Andro Ocsales, 26, single. All of them are jobless and from Barangay NBBS, Navotas City. At about 10:00 PM, AIDOTG-NDP together with the agents from Philippine-Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) attacked the house of Susan Manlolo, and revealed the act of a "drug session", with one of them still holding an aluminum foil, a drug paraphernalia used as an improvised toother. The scene immediately concluded to the arrest of the users, and to the confiscation of 10 pieces of heat-sealed crystalline substance believed as shabu, 2 strips of aluminum foil and a glass tube pipe used as improvised toothers, black-and-white colored purse, and a blue colored lighter. Also, a 9mm-calibre pistol was confiscated from rearrested Edwin Agbuya, along with a magazine containing 12 pieces of live ammunitions. The confiscated evidences were turned over to Valenzuela City Police Station for laboratory examination and custody. All of them were charged a criminal case against the violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act while Edwin Agbuya had a separate charge against the violation of the Comprehensive Firearms Law. |
